monarch got a little glow-up
the scoop
new year, same monarch. just with a new look.
not a “~rebrand~” rebrand. just monarch finally looking like me.
in between having a baby, restructuring my business, launching flutter, and buying a house, i decided to rebrand. not like ~rebrand~ rebrand… just make monarch into something that finally feels like me and doesn’t make me feel like i have to fit into some weird box.
i’ve always struggled with trying to be too cool and then trying to be too girly because i thought that’s what i was supposed to be. and honestly, neither one ever felt quite right.
after closing the storefront, monarch felt like it needed to shed its skin. so for the last six months, i’ve been quietly working on a new logo, a new site, and a whole new structure behind the scenes.
the old logo was cute. she served me well through my storefront era. but she felt too buttoned up. too pretty for pretty’s sake. overly girly. not saying i don’t love a girly moment, but the baby pink and gold was too frilly for me. if you know me you know lol.
i needed something with more personality, something more type b, something less polished.
color story
the colors mattered most
the colors were the most important part for me. i actually took some inspiration from my wedding flowers. i wanted a magnetic color palette that was texan without leaning into the whole “me more cowboy than you” thing. i’m so naturally drawn to these colors. they make me so happy seeing them come together on the website.
homemade vanilla

now, monarch feels like a breath of fresh air to me. the past year and a half has felt like treading water and just figuring out how to get to the next step (obviously not just because of a logo or my brand look lol) but now i feel so much lighter. (literally. stetson was almost 11 pounds when he was born.)
i’m so excited to show y’all what my plans are with monarch. i hope you love the new look as much as i do. i had so much fun dreaming it up.
